Client notices
Professional investor notices prepared from the client record, approved by two people and sent each year.
Checks
Every professional investor gets a notice. Institutional professional investors and the firm's own funds do not, as the SFC Code allows.
Each client receives the professional investor part. Discretionary clients also receive the discretionary account part.
Letters are made from your firm's own template. Operations uploads it, and Compliance approves it before it is used.
A relationship manager can upload their own letter. It becomes the notice and goes through the same approval steps.
The person who sends a notice cannot also approve it.
A new version does not delete an earlier notice. Each letter sent stays on record.
Each notice reads the client's details from the client record. If a detail is blank, or two records disagree, the notice is held for a person and not sent.
